Our Fav Dubai places - Real people, Real Recommendations

We are always asking our friends where to go!  Recommendations are the best as they are trusted and given to you by people you know!  They also invariably have great taste like you!  Today we are starting a series of blogs and it really is very simple.  Each week we ask groups of ladies around Dubai where they go.  And most importantly why do they go there?  Real people bringing you real recommendations on where you should spend your free time around Dubai. This week we asked ladies where their regular favourite haunt in Dubai are.  Here is what they said!

Pure Sky Lounge - Roxanne

This is a hard one for me!  I would have said Ocacti but that is more if you are into Latin.  However despite not having been in a while Pure Sky Lounge at the Hilton Jumeirah Beach remains my soft spot.  It has great happy hour cocktails, love the popcorn, beautiful sunsets and great dj in the evening.  Their evening brunch is also delicious and convenient as I like evening. I like that it is never over crowded as well - you can reach the bar every time which is important.

You get to enjoy striking Palm views from the 35th floor whilst enjoying your favourite drink. Want to go?  Why not try it out this Thursday at Asian Street Food Night at Pure Sky Lounge. Starting at AED120 per person you can get your hands on a range of unlimited scrumptious Asian Street Food!  Click here for more!

Ramusake - Vanda

My current fave is Ramusake in the DoubleTree Hilton on JBR. Ladies night on Wednesday is everything you could wish for. The food is amazing and they supply free wine for the ladies from 8-midnight. Yet the best part is the DJ. He plays the best music that has you dancing and saying "this is my song", all night long.

Are you looking for a new Ladies Night? Located at the end of the walk in JBR, Ramusake offers Japanese fine dining restaurant offers one of the best in town every Wednesday. Ladies get free beverages throughout the night, as well as a great deal on sharing platters. DJ Adam Graca is on the decks with R’n’B and Hip Hop beats to really get you in the party mood.  Click here for more!

Cocktail Kitchen - Sarah

Cocktail Kitchen. The only place for me and my friends wouldn't have believed me if I'd said anything else!!!  It is a fantastic venue but it all about the people that work there. The team are amazing - they are welcoming, personable and friendly.  In fact nothing is too much for them to do for you. The food is fantastic and of course they make awesome cocktails!  I love it there and would go every week if I could!

If you want to go and like an Apertivo hour that stretches from 5pm - 9pm then this is the place for you!  Enjoy a wide choice of canapes and a selection of three beverages for AED100. Paulo Martinezz will be spinning his vinyl tunes from 5pm - 9pm and the playlist explores a new wave of contemporary music!  Click here for more about Apertivo and other great nights at Cocktail Kitchen!

The Tap House, Vista Mare - Laura

Right now my fav is The Tap House in Vista Mare.  It is great to escape there after a long day at work.  I had dinner on the beach recently.  The fire was lit in the background, I had shoes off and my feet were buried in the sand.  It is so so relaxing but still has a buzzy ambiance at the same time. Great food too and I love that the the menu tells you which bring beers of the world to have with which dish!  My kinda place!

The Tap House is perfectly located on the Palm Jumeirah.  They offer sundowners every night and Brunch By The Beach every Friday from 12noon with 2 for 1 offers on drinks from 5pm-7pm.  Click here to find out more.

Le Pain Quotidien - Anne

My go to place is Pain Quotidien, in Dubai Marina Mall. Easily accessible and works for coffee, breakfast, lunch, tea and anything in between. I go there on my own to catch up on emails, or meet people there for both business and leisure during the week. On the weekend it's one of our family go-to spots for breakfast too. The food is good and pretty healthy and has a lot of variety.  I am also much more driven by what's close by and convenient these days, especially when it comes to parking. I will definitely make exceptions but tend to pick favorites close to home. If out and about for work or on weekends I tend to have favorite hangouts in different parts of town.

A CitiSpi team fav for meetings too!  The Pain Quotidien at the Marina Mall offers a great place to breathe in Dubai overlooking the yachts and slow live on the water.  They have great food too!  Why not try breakfast complet including omelette, bread basket and drinks for AED69.  Their omelettes are fab!  Click here for more information.

Are you happy with the choices recommended?  So many great choices around Dubai and even better when someone else loves them too!  We are excited about it this series and will do more over Ramadan and the summer months.  We hope you have a fantastic time whatever you do! Remember socialising around Dubai and Abu Dhabi doesn't have to break the bank!   Have a great week!
