How has your week been?  Has it been shorter after the long weekend? We think every week should have a long weekend.   And it's nearly Thursday so we have another week to plan for!  We love planning what to do in Dubai - it really has a lot to offer.  What is there to do? Eddie Izzard at World Trade Centre

Eddie Izzard, British comic genius comes to the World Trade Centre tomorrow night.  After entertaining audiences throughout the world including the Far East, Australia, Africa, USA and Europe, the controversial funny man is finally in Dubai with his stand-up routine Force Majeure. He will be the headline act to launch DXBLaughs, a new platform that aims to bring the hottest stand-up comics to Dubai throughout the year. Last Exit - Dubai!

Last Exit is what happens when the best home grown food trucks of the country decide to stick together and build a new food experience in Dubai and there are 3 of them open now.  It's creating a new community of all lovers authentic food. Mary Poppins, The Musical – Dubai Opera House

Who doesn’t have a childhood memory of Mary Poppins.  Whether it is the songs or the Christmas TV viewing, watching Mary Poppins will transport you back to a magical world of happy memories. This famous story of Mary Poppins, the nanny who could fly around with her umbrella and find anything you could imagine in her bag, comes to help two little kids and involves you in their adventures through fantastic effects and choreography.   Why not see it live and in its musical glory at Dubai Opera from 1st May. The Ripe Market at Al Barsha Pond Park

If you are a fan of delicious food, music and eating outside in a chilled environment then The Ripe Market at Al Barsha Pond Park is the place for you.  It starts at 3pm and is perfect for the family.  Bring a rug and park games and sit down in a green space outside while you still can.  There’s food trucks from all the greats and perfect little artisan stalls to buy those special gifts not to mention all the organic fruit and vegetables.  We love it at night when the colourful lanterns and twinkling lights come on.   It continues every Friday until 31st May.  Don’t miss it!


Le Petit Chef at Dubai World Trade Club

Want to experience a dinner like no other?  Using 3D projection, Le Petit Chef is an animated optical illusion that brings your 6-course meal to life.   The film tells you the story of Marco Polo’s travels around the world and the flavours of each country.  You get delicious tastes and aromas and sights and sounds.  It is a true experience of the senses.  An exclusive to Dubai and Abu Dhabi - you can book this event until 27th May.  It will soon be available in Berlin, China and Scandinavia and Egypt.   Ticket price is AED450 and you can book for one of the two sittings by clicking here or by calling 04 332 1000.
