Spring Break - one week to go!

There's a week left of half term and the monkeys are getting restless.  The first few days of holidays are lovely.  Catching up with sleep, making plans and maybe even travelling.  So what is there to do over the remaining Spring break time that helps Mums work or just keep their sanity whilst at the same time keeping the  little ones occupied while making last memories for the little ones outside of school.  This feature mainly focuses on activities around Dubai and camps!  There has been an increase in  all of these across the region.  Where is good and what can you do to keep those little bundles of energy happy?


The idea of camp comes from America and the long summer holidays.  Dubai has a vast number of camps now that are all over Dubai AND offer everything from dance to football academies to programming robots.  Camps tend to start from 3-4 years and prices range to per day and week costs.  Here are a few that we have chosen just for you:  

Dubai Holiday Camps

Dubai Holiday camps have been operating since 1998 and are a leading provider of School holiday activity camps for children, during Spring Break, for ages between 3 and 14 years old.  They have teams of qualified teacher and sports coaches ensuring that the camps are safe, enjoyable and rewarding with a varied schedule of age appropriate activities on offer. All staff speak English with additional languages, and are trained and experienced with large groups of children. All teachers are first aid qualified, and in addition they have a full time Nurse and a Life guard for swimming activities on duty at all times. Kings School

Kings School Dubai is offering the ultimate camp for your little ones during half term.  It is available at 3 locations at Nad al Sheba, Al Barsha and Kings School Dubai.  There's team games, archery, baking, climbing and lots more.  Plus a very exciting Lego Robotics class at Al Barsha where you build and program an actual ROBOT!  How cool is that?  The camp is on until 6th April. Elite Football Academy

Elite Sports offer multi sport, football and swimming spring camps offering children the opportunity to participate in and learn the key skills in sports such as football, basketball, cricket, dodgeball, hockey, swimming and many more! The purpose of these camps is to expose your child to as many different sports as possible, in order for them to develop their technical ability whilst also improving their team play, attitude and even socializing skills.  There are very much about FUN through learning and promoting the need for the children to remain fit and healthy in a positive environment, under the tutelage of experienced and qualified coaches.  The camps run during the day 8.30am - 2.30pm, Sunday to Thursday, in line with the annual School holidays.  This week they are running in Arabian Ranches Ranches Primary School, Horizon at Al Safa & Umm Al Shief, Sunmarke at Jumeirah and Regents at The Greens.  Click here for more information.  


Cheeky Monkeys

Why not try an alternative to school camps with Cheeky Monkey's soft play at J3 Maill as a way to keep your kids entertained this spring break! Enroll them in our spring camp and let us keep them busy with both edutainment and fun-based activities, we offer a fun filled schedule that will varies daily.  Cheeky Monkeys Spring Camp continues this week until 6th of April at all locations from 9am-2pm. There are structured activities and games, arts and crafts, fun with science and play with food workshops.  A kids meal and snack included with a sibling discount – 10% on the 2nd child and 15% for the 3rd child.

Cookery Class at Wagamama  

At Wagamamas Dubai every week there's a kids cookery class.  Got a little chef at home? Head over to Wagamama, The Palm where the young ones will learn some handy cooking skills (juicing, measuring, prepping and making yummy noodle dishes!) while mamas catch up over coffee/tea. The mini chefs-to-be will then enjoy the fruits of their labour while mamas enjoy a delicious lunch from a set menu – a perfect hangout spot!  The cooking class is suitable for kids aged 4 – 9 years old.  All you have to do is sign em’ up for a weekend of cooking and learning with Wagamama.
