What's On in Dubai 22nd - 29th March

Wednesday again!  And it's time to plan the weekend!  Well we think it is.  This week has been a whirl of St Patrick's Day festivities and then Mother's Day UAE.  And we are not finished with Mother's Day yet as the UK celebrates on Sunday 26th March.  We have declared it Mother's Week at CitiSpi.  We don't need an excuse to celebrate Mums everywhere for the fantastic job they do and Dubai has so many options for Mums and everyone.  This week sees the Dubai World Cup Race and Fashion Forward at D3.  The Proms are at Dubai Opera for all you classical music fans.  We have offers for Mother's Day this weekend in Dubai if you fancy a treat or treating your mum.  Let's see what there is to choose from.

Fashion Forward 23rd March

Calling all fashionistas and trendsetters with your eye on style. Fashion Forward Dubai is a three day event that brings high fashion to your doorstep. This event includes runways, talks, advice and generally shines the spotlight on the fashion industry and coming fashion seasons.  Explore fashion and functionality as both fresh talent and established designers push the fashion frontiers in the region and you get to see how. Hosting two shows per year, FFWD covers Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter in April and October respectively with runway shows, presentations by the best couture and enlightening seminars and panel discussions from experts, called ‘Fashion Talks’.  Held at Hai at D3 with tickets and the schedule here.  


Dubai Opera 24th March

Staged over four days from 21 to 24 March 2017 at Dubai Opera, the BBC Proms brings the magic of the BBC Proms to Dubai audiences. BBC Proms Dubai promises to be a triumphant celebration of classical music, ending with the famous Last Night of the Proms.  Now in its 122nd year, the BBC Proms, is a British tradition that aims to bring the best classical music to as wide an audience as possible. The music is instantly recognisable.  In the UK, the BBC Proms is an eight-week summer season of concerts, talks, workshops and family events, culminating in the famous Last Night of the Proms at London’s Royal Albert Hall.  The Dubai Opera house offers an iconic location to carry on this tradition overseas.  


Dubai World Cup 25th March

The who’s who of the equestrian world, the elite of Dubai’s society and tens of thousands of racegoers will limber up and down their finery for the culmination of Dubai’s World Cup Carnival – Dubai World Cup day on Saturday, 25 March, 2017. The region’s premier equestrian event pays tribute to the Arabian love affair with horses and is also one of the UAE’s biggest social and sporting events. Held at at the iconic Meydan Racecourse, with the stunning Greystand taking centre stage, this is the day when USD30 million worth of prizes is handed out to the winners of the day’s nine races. Savour the atmosphere, enjoy the hospitality and don’t miss the after-race concert with the fantastic Sia. Afterglow at Atelier M 26th March

Trivia Rocks At Cook Hall 28th

Every Monday there is a new quiz in town!  Hosted by radio presenter Aylissa Boyce from Dubai92, this quiz night is fun and interactive and runs alongside an extended happy hour at Cook Hall from 4pm to 10pm.
