International Chocolate Day - Dubai’s Top Chocolate Treats

In celebration of International Chocolate Day on 14th September, CitiSpi will be hosting a truffle masterclass at Eat Greek in Mall of Emirates with the talented Melanie Smith, FFI’s Global Pastry Chef. But that’s not enough, we have also compiled a list of some of the most indulgent chocolate treats you can find in Dubai!

Chocolate Monster Shake at Fume
Our favourite neighbourhood eatery, Fume, have jumped on the trend wagon and are giving us utterly chocolatey ‘freakshakes’ at both their Downtown and Pier 7 establishments. Dripping of chocolate, these masterpieces might be full of naughty calories but they also put a huge smile on our faces and leave us full of childish chocolate dreams.

Chocolate Cocktails at Pure Sky Lounge
If you are craving a liquid concoction to still your chocolate cravings, head to the stylish Pure Sky Lounge at the Hilton JBR and order a Chocolate Chip Martini. Shaken with chocolate chip syrup and cream, this is a great substitute for dessert or perfect as an after dinner drink. Just remember that there’s some strong stuff in there too, so pace yourselves!

Fondant Heaven at Okku
As if their regular chocolate fondant wasn’t satisfying enough, the chefs at Okku have gone chocolate gaga with their new world of fondants! Perfect for sharing amongst a (large) group of friends, the impressive and absolutely stunning tower comes with different flavoured fondants and home-made ice creams and is garnished with complimenting fresh fruits and berries.

Chocolate Overload at Radisson Blu Deira Creek
Boulevard Gourmet Coffee and Cake shop inside the iconic Radisson Blu Deira Creek bake some of the most delicious chocolate creations in Dubai. Their long list of tempting chocolatey goodness includes chocolate fudge cake, chocolate duo cake, mocha cake and the classic opera cake. We suggest ordering in a selection to share amongst friends!

Chocolate Fountain at Al Qasr
We do love a great afternoon tea, and what better way of adding some extra umpf than by throwing in a luxurious chocolate fountain to compliment the already indulgent selection of pastries and sweets. Available in Al Fayrooz Lounge, the Iced Afternoon Tea is AED 225 per person, a high price but totally worth it for all the chocolate aficionados out there.
