As we are rapidly approaching the end of the summer holidays (but not the summer, seeing as we are in the sandpit), we are guessing that some of you are gearing up for getting the kids back into school. For some parents, this is perhaps the first time that you are sending your little ones off to nursery, or maybe even big school! It’s exciting times as you’ll get some time to either focus on your work, or maybe to focus on yourself while the kids are in school.
If you have recently moved to Dubai and are still in the process of settling in, getting your house organised and getting to know the roads (trust us, it will take years to get your head around Dubai driving!), you might want to think about getting a head start on the low down of this desert cosmopolitan. And CitiSpi has got just the right thing lined up for you!
‘New To Dubai’ is an event taking place on Saturday 13th August from 9am to 12pm at FC Dubai just off Sheikh Zayed Road, and is hosted by CitiSpi in partnership with British Orchard Nursery, Financial UAE and Espace Real Estate. We will equip you with useful information about life as an expat in Dubai as guest speakers share their knowledge and experience on topics such as local etiquette, personal finance, tenancy rights, education and the social scene.
While adult attendees take advantage of open Q&A sessions, key note speeches and open forums, children will enjoy supervised playtime inside one of FC Dubai’s indoor football pitches, complete with bouncy castles and arts and craft stations. Apart from picking up useful info, this is also a great chance to meet other expats, network and get to know your new city better. Refreshments, coffees, teas, sandwiches and pastries will be served between sessions to keep you refuelled through to midday.
Adult – AED 59
Couple – AED 99
Kids 10-16yrs – 39
Kids below 10 – FREE
Please ensure to register here to secure your spot for this event.
