So it seems the season has started with our first gig being Spandau Ballet last weekend. Did you go? We did and they are still going strong! It got us in the mood for Dubai Music Week and thinking about our choices of where to have our tipple before we enjoy the great gigs that are being held at Dubai World Trade Centre.. our top picks are..
McGettigans DWTC - just around the corner from the concerts and from Sunday to Wednesday you can enjoy AED29 drinks, now that's not to be sniffed at. The discounted drinks are available 2-7pm so straight after work or as soon as the babysitter arrives, get down there, and BONUS on Wednesdays from 8pm its Ladies Night, so it's five, yes five, free drinks for ladies from 8pm.
Or you can hop over the bridge and enjoy the daily happy hour at Purobeach Beach Urban Oasis at the Conrad Hotel. Their daily happy hour is from 7-8pm and ladies night is held every Thursday, where it's free drinks for ladies 8pm till midnight. Or why not find yourself in the old favourite Fibber Magees where happy hour is held everyday 4-7pm.
We have been doing a lot of shopping for Eid and we always love spending some time on the Little Majlis website purchasing so many unique gifts sourced and produced in the UAE, AND there is a competition to win a AED200 voucher by registering with them this month, brilliant.
We are also looking forward to our first daytime event of the season tomorrow at Sofitel JBR, we are very much looking forward to breakfast brunch, it's a bargain at just AED45 for numerous plates full of food. If you can't join us tomorrow its ok, our next evening event is to be held on the 29th September at the Anantara, The Palm.
Signing off till next week, wishing you a fantastic Eid and a brilliant Dubai Music Week!
