You need to..........

Get out more!

We’re not sure about you, but after the rains last week clearing the air, we’re ready to get out and make the most of the beautiful weather and fresh air. Contrary to popular belief, there are a multitude of outdoor things you can do from Dubai that wont break the bank…

Take your exercise outdoors

Now there are no excuses, the weather is perfect for enjoying exercise out in the open air. There are a number of running groups that you can join, including the Nike+ Run ClubReebok Run ClubMirdif MilersDubai Road Runners and Dubai Creek Striders which meet at various locations across Dubai and cater to all abilities and all for free!

To push yourself a bit further, it could be the time to try one of the many bootcamps on offer in Dubai. Ignite offers military bootcamps all over Dubai - it’s not free but if you sign up for the four week season, it’s a great deal. Original Fitness’ beach workout at The Beach JBR requires less commitment, allowing you to pay per session and get the first trial session free.

If you’re looking for something more gentle, there are a number of people offering outdoor yoga, from the park to the beach. Performing yoga outside has the added benefit of giving a greater connection to your surroundings and nature. Talise Spa at Madinat Jumeirah does a great outdoor class, but if you’re saving your dirhams for the Christmas shopping, try the free hatha yoga on offer at The Beach, JBR at 7am on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

Have a picnic in the park

When the weather is good, we love having a stroll through the park, and in the parks in Dubai, you have so many great things to do. The popular Ripe market runs every Friday morning in Zabeel Park and Saturday evening Barsha Pond Park and provide all manner of handmade goods and crafts as well as delicious eats. Both of these parks also have a lake to wander around. Check out some of the other parks listed on our website too!

To avoid the crowds

Take a trip out to Al Qudra Lakes, just off the road to Bab Al Shams. These beautiful lakes amongst the dunes are a bird sanctuary and make for a great place to go for an evening walk – with or without a dog!

The weather is at its best right now, so whatever you do, just make sure you get outdoors and make the most of it!

Happy exploring!
