CitiSpi Review: Qwerty

CitiSpi Review: Qwerty

My friend and I have been waiting to try out the new Qwerty restaurant. We have been hearing a lot of buzz about it but diaries hadn’t allowed.  As always as it gets nearer to Ramadan time pressure eases up so here was our chance.  Z:One its predecessor had been an after work favourite so it made sense that Qwerty could follow in its place. We were excited to see the new look and wanted to give it a try. Tuesdays as always given its Ladies Night is also another reason to visit.

CitiSpi Review - Iftar at Jodhpur Royal Dining

CitiSpi Review - Iftar at Jodhpur Royal Dining

We have been very lucky to have dined at Jodhpur a few times and when CitiSpi received an invite to preview their Iftar menu - we couldn’t say no. Jodhpur Royal Dining is found at the Roda Al Murooj close to the Dubai Mall.  It is a haven of culinary greats and Chef Pradeep and his team really pour their hearts into every dish.  It is why everything tastes great.  We have been to many Iftars during Ramadan over the years but never here and we are very excited!

This week we asked ladies where their regular favourite haunt in Dubai are.  Here is what they said!

Jenny Rose - A Review of Hair & Beauty

Jenny Rose - A Review of Hair & Beauty

One of our main conversations in the office lately has been “Can you recommend a good hairdresser”.  It is such a personal thing and sometimes comparable to a trip to the dentist where you put your complete trust in a professional to make you look better!  It is a risky business recommending them.  My friend is desperate for a good haircut and I said I would go with her for support.  She has heard of Jenny Rose in Motor City and I know they do all sorts of beauty treatments.  I love a day spa!  I jumped at the chance to book a facial while she gets her hair sorted.

Pax Ristorante - A CitiSpi Review

Pax Ristorante - A CitiSpi Review

Dusit Thani is the iconic building on the Sheikh Zayed Road with two connecting towers and the jewel in the Dusit crown.  I have heard a lot about the Thai hotel from Benjarong to Namm Spa but on this occasion, I was recommended the seafood menu at Pax Ristorante.  Pax is located on the 24th floor of the hotel.  It offers refined Italian fayre and the menu promises a Mediterranean journey through a multitude of seafood decadence for the month of April.  If that’s the case I’m in!

Eat Greek, Mall of the Emirates - A CitiSpi Review

As a treat, me and the girls went shopping for the day at Mall of the Emirates after the long two-week half term holiday.  We love getting time together, it is rare and precious and always great to catch up.  The general idea is normally a couple of hours shopping, a nice lunch and then back to reality.  The list is long enough to keep us going and we shop til we drop.  As our feet get a bit weary we always start chatting about food options?  Spoilt for choice.  What is it we want?  We choose Eat Greek - find out why?

Tribes Carnivore - A CitiSpi Review

Tribes Carnivore - A CitiSpi Review

I have always seen Tribes in the Mall of the Emirates but I wasn’t aware of it in the vast Dubai Mall.  We have guests in town and wanted to pick a place for dinner in Downtown Dubai.  We were ideally looking for a great view for our visitors.   A friend of mine mentioned Tribes Carnivore and the balcony overlooking the Dubai fountains.  She told me it is an African restaurant, known for good service and quality meat like steak, chicken and burgers.   So, it was decided Tribes would be a nice dinner with a view!
